Luc, in combat, primarily the M3A3, in both Italy and Northwest Europe. Starting in October 1944, the M3A3s were gradually phased out in favour of M5A1s, although many of the former were retained. Note that great photo of the 4th Canadian Armed Division on parade in Holland (23 May 1945) in the back of Gregg's book; a regiment of Achilles' lead by two turretless M3A3s...

I have an original manual for the M5,M5A1 Stewart dated 27 November 1943 with the Kings Own Calgary Regt.,14th Armoured Regt.Stamp on it.. : When and where they used the tanks .I'll have to leave to the historians..
