I can't believe that no one has replied. I don't know the answer but mine has had the seats done already. I'll go and measure the seats tomorrow. That might give you an idea. If mine are correct that is.

Dale,
I think no one has replied because the answer is not there. The parts manuals and supplement only list the length and width measurements and not the depth/thickness of the cushions. After 70 years I do not think there are many original cushions left to measure. I would make them to whatever your bottom & back are comfortable with. If you have a large frame you may wish to reduce the thickness of the front cushions, or if you wish a more comfortable ride try thicker cushions (or another type of vehicle ) If they are in proportion to the rest of the cushion dimensions and you are happy with them, go with that. With foam material and what is available today, there can be some variation to density of the foam and therefore the thickness. Regards

Just remember, a trap for young players is that when you increase the thickness of the backrest on the drivers side, the door of the little drivers box on the dash will not open properly. In the past I have relocated the " Tapped Buttons 10mm - 15mm closer to the dash so the door will open, when using a thicker backrest from an original. I usually use 2" on the bottom and 1 1/2" on the back. I do have a NOS original if you want the proper measurements, but you will find it uncomfortable to drive if you use this thinner thickness.

I found some original NOS Rexene seats cushions for my MK 2. They are filled with layers of a horse hair material. The filling is 3" thick. I also found an original drivers back rest which is about 1" thick. Ron
