Does anyone know about the LP2A carrier in this museum?

They're located in Los Angeles.

No, but I do know one of the owners subscribes to the Sherman Register mailing list. Try contacting Craig Michelson through e-mail, he seems to be quite willing to help (at least when pertaining the Shermans, that is ).
