Heat seal on oven
Hello All,
It says in the description for the Sergeant's Mess "general discussion on topics past, present and future which don't seem to fit anywhere else". Well here it goes ... My oven has its rubber-type heat seal/strip held at the top with a metal clip holding each of the top corners. The rest of the horizontal and two vertical sides were only glued in at the factory. With years of use the glue has given up the ghost. Could anyone recommend a heatproof glue suitable for use in a stove that won't poison any food cooked inside it, or stink the house out once the oven heats up? Kind Regards Lionel

Heat Proof Glue
Hi Lionel - this available from Blackwoods but I am sure other hardware shops would stock it.

Just a thought but what about the glue that is used to reseal and replace a seal on the natural gas fireplace comes as a kit with a new seal. I have used this and had no foul oders in the house
