Default Remembrance Day Parade, Hamilton Ontario

Hey there Gang,

I am working with the City of Hamilton (and thereby the Veterans committee) in lining us up a spot in the Remembrance Day Parade in the city of Hamilton this coming November 11th.

The course runs from the James Street Armories, south on James to King St, and King st. to the cenotaph. Total length is well less than half a km.

My contact at the City is taking the proposal to a meeting October 6th, and I would like to give him some information to take to the table. Is anyone interested in attending? If so, what do you plan on bringing?

I will be attending with my BSA WM20. I would love to have another bunch of carriers to go with.

I do not know if fuel will be available, but I will ask.

Thanks,

Brad

Well,

Got rear ended today pretty bad on the bike. The bike is hurt. It's going to need parts that I do not even know if I can get. That's even if the insurance company doesn't write it off first.

Sorry gang won't be able to make it.

Upper James just south of fennel. Some old asian man failed to pay attention and smoked my bike in the rear end putting me on his hood.

Save for a sore wrist I am ok for the most part.

Also received word from my contact at the City. As I was told and I will paraphrase; the committee greatly appreciated the offer, and is well aware of how enormous a contribution that was being presented, but have instead decided to decline. They want this to be a marching parade, with a memorial service, and they feel that having carriers rolling wasn't what they were looking for.

Sorry gang. No deal this year.

Thats our lovely city for you. Never mind how many vets you could have in the parade that wouldn't go becuase they can't march.

What committee were you dealing with?
