Default Tranny

I used the same tower and tranny on my MKII but changed everthing internal with the tranny inards out of a ford grain truck, I also used the grain trucks transmission case though I had to drill a hole for the shift fork bearing grease tube. Everything mic'ed up beautifully in the gear dept and shift forks and bearings. I had to use the carrier input shaft as it was shorter and I can't remember offhand whether the output shaft was the same or not. My original was pretty rusted too.
