Default Long Immersion Instructions for the 105mm. HMC M7

Nice find at the KTR Militaria Beurs today: “Long Immersion Instructions for the 105mm. Howitzer Motor Carriage M7 (with additional armour)”. Dated January 1944, with additions from August and September 1944. Lots of nice drawings with colours indicating which of the various sealing materials to use.

Nice! I have a PDF of it, with handwritten corrections.

BTW, for those wondering: this is the British instructions, and their deep-wading kit differed rather a lot from the American type.

Good point. And they issued a set of instructions for each type of vehicle: here are some photos from the "Long immersion instructions for Sexton 25-pdr SP Gun and Ram GPO".

Default Long Immersion and/or Wading?

What else do we know about Long Immersion and/or Wading Instructions? Was there a (major) difference between Long Immersion, and Wading and Waterproofing?

A quick search yielded some more British instructions.

Rob van Meel sells a reprints of:

I found these two images for the Sherman V mixed in with some showing the American kit (ref.).

Plus "4-Ft. Wading Instructions For Carrier, Universal F.T. Transportable No.2 MksII And IIC (WASP)", dated October 1944. This manual covers the sealing of the WASP to allow it to successfully wade in 4ft of water.(ref.).
