Windsor paint color
When we got our carrier years ago it was painted a brittish green and the paint is about half pealed off and under it is painted US 34087 green. I would like to know if it was painted that from the factory or was it painted Canadian brown/green like our fox and stag.We would like to paint it before we move it again.

Would have thought being a late war vehicle it would have left the factory in OD which was the standard allied base colour by that time.

i know where there is a brand new Windsor with 15 miles on the clock. It is painted in dark semi gloss green, effectively British post war green. I assume that it was delivered very late in the war or even after hostilities ceased and painted in the gloss green for post war service. Of course, it may have been painted whilst in UK reserve.

This is a British colour, and is not the same as US Olive Drab, but similar. HTH, Hanno
