Default CMP F30, cab 11

Hi every one. I apologise for use Peterīs registration, but I search some information and here is chance.

My friend buy CMP F 30 cab.11. I help him with start restoration. Truck is on poor condition, original owner started restoration but unfortunately are not finished.
We are started second attempt. We search all information about this truck. On photos are some discovered details. This F30 is probably originally from Czechoslovak Armored Brigade Group and after war is used on Fire service.

Many thanks for help.

Jiri

Default A very good find.......

Not in bad shape at all.

Interesting early production Ford model built with General Motors axles due to shortages. Also no air vents in the front. Certainly a worth while model to restore to its former glory.

Lots of work ahead of you do not despair.

Cheers

We have some boxes with parts for engine and etc. This two sheet "boxes" beside of radiator are new, but not finished. Can be sandblasted, but now are rusty again, unfortunately. From first owner we have only basic infos "...this CMP is from very early production and have german Ford engine...". Now we search all materials, documents for restoration. We buy some manuals from Rob Van Meel website.

Jiri,

Lovely project and interesting to hear that it's an original Czechoslovak Armored Brigade vehicle. I am sure you know about the Cab 12 F60 In Rokycany(?), even though it's a cab 12, it can probably give you a lot of info on certain details.

Alex

p.s. That does look like a cab12 windscreen frame(?)

Hi all, we are started restoration and have some nice finds. First are original vehicle number on back part of chassis. This number are under new two coats of black paint. But is 99% chance read them correctly. And second find are service numbers on back differential cover. Under many "new" paints I find two coats of white paint. on second coat is number 51 (1st. Tank Battalion of Czechoslovak Armoured Brigade) and under them are smaller black number 17? (probably 3 or 9).
Photo are wit UV light.

Jiri,

Could you make a picture of the location where the chassis number was found on the chassis? This will help others knowing where to look.

Thanks,
Hanno
