Default Operation Faust Then & Now: Jimmy Shipton

Last weekend Keep Them Rolling organised an event to commemorate Operation Faust. There were one WLC, three C8A's, one C15 and one F15A participating so we tried to recreate a well known photo of Operation Faust. Our camp was located in the field next to the road where in 1945 the food supplies were assembled to be distributed into occupied territory. The road where the picture was taken in 1945 is very busy these days, so we could not stop traffic to offload crates and set up vehicles for the "then & now" photo. But the comparison photo was taken a stone's throw away from the original location.

Default Operation Faust - Then and Now

Fantastic! I am always envious of what the European collectors and enthusiasts can achieve.
