Fan belt
I have a Ford Lynx I MkIII* and wish to buy a spare fan belt.
The present belt has the part number "Ford 788620c1" stamped on it. However fan belt suppliers do not recognise this number. Anyone who has worked on a Lynx will know that you do not delve in the fan belt or distributor area lightly so I am loth to take it off an measure it. Does anybody know the modern equivalent? Alastair p.s. I think the Lynx II is different |

V-8 Fan Belt
While the B 52 is the standard belt to look for, I have noticed there are several different size generator pulleys. This make me wonder about the size of the belt, or whether there is adequate adjustment to allow for these different variations in diameter to the gen. pulley?, Cheers Andrew.

I’d say buy a B52 belt. As one can see in the linked thread the way the generator is fixed gives a lot of room to adjust for stretching of the belt, or various pulley diameters
