Default Thanks

Guys,

Thanks for your comments. Sofi is the one that deserves the credit for editing my rambling dialogue into the final product. I welcome the opportunity to promote the recognition of our veterans and the equipment that they used.

Default Re-enactors

Guys,

I had the opportunity two weekends ago of participating in a re-inaction event on Jon Bradshaw's farm. The weather was challenging but did not deter the participants. The Lynx performed well, even towed a F8 CMP back to the barn through some heavy going.

Now looking forward to the OMVA at Odessa the weekend of the 18th.

Peter

Default Quinte Airshow

Guys,

The Lynx went to the airshow as part of an OMVA display of WW 11 vehicles.

The weather was horrible on Saturday and the flying displays were very limited. Despite the weather the crowds were substantial.

Sunday was great and the flying displays were quite entertaining. My personal show favorite was a Canso that was recovered from the frozen tundra by a group of farmers from NW Alberta and restored to flying condition. Talk about grit and determination.

Default Landing in Sicily

Guys,

Some local members of the OMVA provided MVs to form a backdrop for the Memorial Service to commemorate units that participated in Operation Husky.

The event took place at the Belleville Armoury.

Default Aquino weekend

Guys,

The Lynx and I attended the Aquino show at the Canadian Tank Museum in Oshawa as part of the OMVA contingent.

One of my favorite sights was Len Neal's C15A towing Jonathan Bradshaw's Bofors 40mm gun across the compound.

My heart still goes to the brutish look of the early Canadian FATs.
The Limber Gunners, 7th Toronto Regiment, RCA brought their latest acquisition, an early 11/12 Chev FAT.
