Default Must be good brakes!

Wow, the brakes must still be so good that the drivers head went through the windscreen when it stopped.

Thats Ford for ya!

Default Bits

Interesting... I don't think the cluster is a CMP one, but the front shell is the rarer '-FORD-' only script version from around 1943 as opposed to the no name and '-FORD CANADA-' seen from 1944 on.

For the heads up - I have an old Jailbar Ford that is missing the dash. Hope I can get this one...

Default Dash

Hi Keefy - I believe it is an early CMP from the Cab 12 era. A variant of this is in the Bren Gun Carrier albeit without the fuel gauge and no quadrants on the speedometer.

Tony - it looks like a good one to restore. Don't pay too much as I restore these for $300 or scratch build for $400. Also research as to whether your Jailbar has these brown faced instruments or the later silver faced instruments.

Bob

Default Dash Again

I have contacted the seller to ascertain the coding on the rear of the speedometer to properly date this cluster. I have also advised him this is a Ford dash and not also a Chevrolet as in his description. I wish people would do the research before they list things.

Default Tank Jack?

Er......anyone in the market for a 22.5t jack.
It's Made in Australia, so it's bound to work

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WW2-Tank-...item27c4547c64

Actually, I wouldn't know if it works or not. Just came across it a little while ago. At 22.5t, this thing would almost lift an old Jag I once had

Default Dash Again

Hi all - if you look at the Ebay listing I have ben advising the seller of details pertaining to this dash. It is a March or June 1940 manufacture.

I won't be bidding but I know of at least two others who will be... this may turn out to be a very good auction for the seller.

Missing horn, drivers door and seat but always shedded according to the blurb. Popular wheelbase too. It does say it's fitted with a pto, but doesn't mention whether that's on the gearbox or if a 2 speed transfer case has been fitted. Looks like a Sunshine roof sheeted over with the hood bow cut out.

Default Blitz fuel tank sender ????!!!

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayIS...5#ht_680wt_754

Looks more like the horn wire which goes down the steering column, and I don't even think it's a blitz one, although it may fit.

Default Bumper

So who won the bumper? I was watching the countdown (but not bidding) and watched the snipes coming thick and fast in the last minute!

I thought it would go for about $120 so not far out at $123.05. Good buy at that price.
