OK, the drag link has LH and RH ends, IIRC LH at the steering box and so RH at the other.

What we have found are the 7/16" 16tpi items with cast-in numbers but nothing that matches up to your V numbers, however the ends do _look_ identical.

I have been looking at a MCC drag link as follows:
LH end C8368/C1265
RH end C1738/C1264

Draglink tube is marked C1786

Be aware ALL this stuff is strip-out from very old vehicles and in original condition - very dirty and a bit rusty. (I can blast this stuff though!)

It's a minute after 08:00 now and I'll see Rory in an hour or two, stand by.

We're not sure if you want the whole drag link or just the RH thread end, the link tube would be wrong for your C8 anyway as its too short.

Rory is checking his stock to ensure he has enough for the restorations in hand and we'll get back to you.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about that, just you wait until you have found a supply of Whitworth/BSF spanners (wrenches) to work on it and then find all the fasteners below ¼" are BA. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Oh, and incidentally, if you didn't know, all the engine fasteners are metric as Bill Morris bought the machine tools from France.

Have fun.

already have the BSF spanners, and tap and die set (a christmas present from the aussie inlaws), and it has a perkins motor in it that was retro fitted in 52 by the REME guys. im having loooooots of fun
but if you look at my web site you will see that im a glutton for punishment. by the way, just getting the darn morris was a jurny of adventure, thrills, spills, and fire. LOL

Goodness gracious me! Perkins diesel in a MC
Must be a "local" REME one-off.

Still, in 52 the BA for ¼" and under would have been the rule, best go and Google "British Association threads" then plenty more before you lean on your Aussie outlaws again. :

Fascinating!!!!!!!!!! Who'd have believed it, a digipic of the data plate would be hugely appreciated for the interest value.

Oh yes, and to be absolutely correct BSPP and BSPT, depending on parallel or taper threads.

We haven't even got to BSC (British Standard Cycle) yet. . . . . . .

There is only one RH thread end sleeve available and without ball joint pin; not just no ball steering joint pins going spare, but not enough to complete the jobs in hand here and that's going to cause some head scratching and trawling the wrecks, if found, around the country for some steering parts.
