my 109 set
This is my 1941 109 set , made in Sydney by STC , I used this set to contact VK5WT in Adelaide , using CW / morse code on the 80 metre ham band .
It requires a sturdy 6volt supply . These sets were taken to the Middle East and Malaya by the AIF . Not many made , and very few survivors today . Made between 1939 and 42 . Mike

fords again....
I took this pic in 1986 ? . The truck is still sittting there, the owner is very stubborn, many have tried to buy it . Sadly, it has got worse over the years , rust and rot have affected it badly .It is a 1940 01Y roadster cab 1 tonner .

Mixture
this pic taken in QLD shows many vehicles .
A 12 cab DND truck . Jeep Chev. with a opened windscreen Ford roadster cab The Chev. would have a GMH cab , from around 41 ,they made the cabs with an open up type windscreen with a brass frame . Many people are confused by this , saying only the Lend Lease cab had an opening screen . NO .

11D
This is an odd one . At first glance it appears to be another 01Y or a 11Y , it is in fact a 1941 11D .
It has 16" car based wheels , the wheelbase is the same, 122" as the 11Y , but Ford made them as a 15 cwt or 3/4 ton chassis with the smaller car pattern wheels , and called it the D model . I owned one if these in 1987-91 , I had a bugger of a time finding a spare wheel cos they are wider that the normal Ford car rim . They have 7/50 X 16 tyres . I got it registered down in Tasmania , where I was living then . It had horrid steering . I drove it to the cop shop and they said to take it to Devonport to register it, no permit , no insurance nothing . That was Tasmania then . Mike
