From the look of the rear fuselage I'd say this was taken after the tailwheel retracted in March 1944, although the markings are consistent with No2 OTU.

C60L Cab 12
The attached pic came from the AWM. The more significant thing is I will be interviewing one of the men in this picture soon. His name is Jack Caple and he's 2/24th and was a Rat of Tobruk.

CMPs in Eritrea, 1941
These CMPs are with 41 Battery of the 15th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery - the Manx Regiment - in Eritrea (Ethiopia) in early 1941.
The first one was in the background of a photo but if I'd posted the whole thing its name "Anita" and census number would have been illegible. They show some good examples of camouflage. The Regiment used CMP vehicles throughout the war. |

It's a cab 13 and if the Arab standing in front of it is full size it must be bigger than a 15 cwt. It has a radio aerial mounted on the passenger side. Can anybody add any more?

About 30-45 seconds is very good for someone who is not a CMP anorak like Keith I agree with David, it's a cab 13, probably a 3-ton or Field Artillery Tractor chassis. The cab top has been removed and two small aeroscreens added. I cannot see any clues as to it's role: GS, FAT, it could be anything. I would hazard a guess this is a Ford, simply because the South African Recce Cars in front of it have a Ford v8 flathead, too. Hanno

Hanno, when I enlarged the pic in Photoshop and did some adjustments the grille took on a square pattern so it is a Ford. Chevs were a diagonal pattern. It has a radio but by then most trucks likely had radios whatever their main use was. The passenger seems to be quite proud of whatever he's wearing around his neck.

Hanno,
Yes, but I have never seen a four wheel drive version before. I wonder if it was converted by All Wheel Drive Ltd, as they did some Thames Traders as well.

CMP Truck & Heavy Humber in Germany
Just bought this photo of a CMP? truck used in Germany I think used by a REME unit, post war, late 1940s. any info on the photos would be welcome, and Heavy Humber [Box] photos as well.

Perhaps a bit dubious this one from the AWM but the crates are marked LV7 FD. Could they be Ford engines ? Surely no reliability questions there ?
