Horse Smilie
After due consideration, I've removed the horse-flogging smilie from our board. A very old and respected friend on the Forum had previously contacted me on behalf of himself and others to indicate while they were the farthest thing from 'politically-correct', they felt this particular icon was in bad taste. It hasn't been used much anyway, and graphically, it DID take up too much space, so I elected to follow his request.
Suggestions for substitutes expressing the same emotion are welcome, as are any others you might wish to see to accent expression of ideas, emotions or just plain fun in your posts. Thank you, Jif

Geoff,
Are we still allowed to use the well known English expression, "flogging a dead horse", when describing something as being a waste of time and effort?

PC terminology
Frankly the dead horse smilie was wonderful and not the least bit offensive so please bring it back. This from a Horse Gunner who was raised in a saddle.
Dougie: MY mother taught me to refer to dykes as "women in comfortable shoes"! Mike

Misunderstood
Dougie, my lad, shouldn't "But I might be misunderstood again" read "But I fear I might put my foot in it again"? Hmmm?
