Toronto Aerospace Museum
For those of you interested in the air side as well, the Toronto Aerospace Museum (TAM) has their new website up and running at http://www.torontoaerospacemuseum.com ... well worth a visit!
Of concern, however, is the fact that they may well be evicted in a month, which might well result in their closing operations and disposing of their assets. The most significant of the latter is the Lancaster which used to be on a pedestal in Coronation Park on Toronto's waterfront, which they now have and are restoring to at least static display condition. It would be a crime to lose that, as well as the 1:1 scale Avro Arrow replica model they're building! I would urge you to write in support of their endeavours. They have all applicable info on their site.

Re: TAM
Geoff;
Your picture of the Lancaster on it's pedestal on TO's waterfront and the attached picture from the TAM website, bring back memories of 20 years ago.............. can just make out FYA through the trees............ Cheers

FYA through the trees...
Mark, what an I missing? Your pic looks like the "new" Denison ASU.
I can't see anything that resembles FYA.

Re: Missing?
Quote:
I meant in Geoff's picture of the Lancaster on it's pedestal, not in the one I posted of the old "CFB" buildings. Than again, if you look from the pedestal to the rear of the Lanc, it might be the old Molsen building, to the east of FYA and not FYA, through the trees, eyes are not that good anymore, old age creeping in Cheers
