publications by Mike Starmer: camouflage and paint colour authority
Michael Starmer has now released a new book on the subject:
'BRITISH ARMY COLOURS & DISRUPTIVE CAMOUFLAGE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. FRANCE AND NW EUROPE 1936-45' A4 size, comb-bound, 39 pages of orders and disruptive diagrams, comments and nine matched colour chips. Price £10.00, add £1.00 postage in UK or £2.00 abroad. Contact Mike by e-mail or at 18 HILLSIDE ROAD PIDDINGTON NORTHANTS. NN7 2DB UK for copies. I have no connection with the seller, but I have his other books about camouflage schemes and they are the definitive works on the subject. See paint schemes for CMP trucks for links to some of his resources available on-line. HTH, Hanno |

Just wanted to say that I just got my copy of his latest book today. Extremely fast service considering it was mailed on Thursday. Very informative and really lays out the orders and patterns in an easy to understand format.
Highly recomended.

Good References
Hanno,
Thanks for reporting on this series. These booklets are jammed with good information - and even small colour samples. The author is quick to get the stuff out, well packaged for international travel, and worth the cost. Stewart |

An unbiased View
In short, the only publications published so far to include Official British orders concerning camouflage colours and paint chips. Three cheers and well worth buying!!

Please read this comprehensive article here: http://www.wwpd.net/2015/09/hiding-i...e-and.html?m=1
While the source of this web page is the research done by William Marshall (who is a member of our forum too), I felt posting it in this thread is appropriate as both Starmer and Marshall are authors who have been able to unravel the complexities of camouflage paint systems. I think their work can be used without hesitation for restoration and modeling purposes. HTH,
