Default List of Staghound owners attending the Market Garden Convoy???

Anyone know where this can be found; or is there such a list? Where is the Convoy Website?

Not seen any lists published by the organisers yet to show what vehicles will be in attendance.

I will be there with my White M3A1 Scout Car - marked to A Squadron Phantom GHQ Liaison Regt.

I restored a really nice staghound and shipped it to the Netherlands a year ago and was just wanting to see if it was driving around and on the convoy..... New owner has ridiculous issues with valves being wrong even though we drove it around here for hours before shipping - he's incommuncado.

Default Garden 80

Hi Dan,

Here is the website of the organisation: https://ltf-hq.com/
Their FB page is more up to date: https://www.facebook.com/LTFHQ

I have not heard/ read about a Staghound taking part in the event.

Thanks for the links Hanno: I had heard from one of the USA stag owners that 7 or 8 stags would be in the British Market Garden convoy. May be a rumor but source was a good one. That staghound took me 6 1/2 years of active work to restore, working virtually daily and I can say it the best...only Reg Hodgson's staghound in Edmonton would be a better restoration since his was directly obtained from the Canadian Army as I have been told... and that's from the mouth of another staghound owner who drove and photoed mine extensively.

Hello Dan,

I heard Jon Hickman hasn't his one finished, Rex Cadman maybe? And I expect Marco to be there. But eight? I wonder if there are that many on the road in Europe.

Is the one you restored in this list of survivors? http://the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_T17_T17E1_T18.pdf

Default my stag restoration Serial no 526

Staghound 526 was totally restored in my shop - Dan Dolan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and completed in Fall of 2022. Sold to a gentleman in Netherlands where it now resides. Restoration included many NOS parts form 20,000 pounds of spares and NOS parts purchased in Australia in a lot and with two completely rebuilt drive trains (engines and transmissions). No. 19-set was installed along with a set of original rubber and canvas covered roll off tanks and belts. Fenders were not repro, as many are - had original beaded, rolled, edge and without major dents , rust, or holes. Interior, as displayed in the Australian museum, was totally unrestored, rusty, but largely complete with original turret basked and drive motor. The drivetrains, however, were completely missing. I sourced used ACR and ACL engines complete with transmissions from Belgium and had them professional overhauled, test stand-run for 12 hours and the reinstalled in the vehicle and run for 4 hours on the road with all systems tested. New stainless steel fab’ed mufflers installed with 45 degree turned-up (nonstandard) exhaust pipes to reduce dust. New 14.00X20 22-ply run flats installed (Littlefield Auction purchase). Hydrovacs were professionally restored in Detroit with new O-rings and leathers. Also installed all NOS brake cylinders and master cylinder. NOS voltage regulators installed; new brake lines and hydraulic hoses were manufactured and installed. All new oil hoses to coolers and transmission seals and clutch packs for the hydramatics installed during rebuild. Functional onboard CO2 system installed with correct valves, dated tanks and pull wires.

526 is your Staghound’s Ordnance serial number.
I have listed 821 as the British acceptance number.
Chevrolet Serial Number is AC-4-43-1822.
USA serial number is 6023359.

Hi Dan, I asked Pierre Olivier Buan and he let me know that surviving.panzers@gmail.com is now the correct email address.
