the thread size
I would highly suggest that you get yourself a copy of the AMPHENOL 5150 Series Connector Catalog - it is online or they will send you a hard copy for a letter requesting!!!!! that catalogue has photos of the pin connections and sizing for connectors which believe it or not are still manufactured today and are the exact fittings that were on WWII military vehicles for electrical conduit! I have been able to purchase from a company called SPACECRAFT in Las Vegas, Nevada, every single one of the WWII connectors on conduit in the M18 Hellcat and the T17E1 Staghound I am doing. The customer service dept in that company are very helpful! They have provided me with consulting and sold me connectors at very reasonable prices.

Thanks Dan, will look into it a bit more. We are doing the early model M3 Stuart Hybrid type of Tanks , that do not have turret baskets. These early models used "Hard wiring" and not the pin type that were used in the later M3A3 and M5 types , but elbows and fittings are sometimes the same, Cheers Andrew.
