Heavy Dodge WC/M37 Differential
I am in the process of changing my M37 differentials from 5.83 to 4.89 ratio and the takeouts are surplus to requirements. The one that I have removed so far is in excellent condition. This is the 9 5/8" unit and will fit the later production 3/4 ton 4x4 and all 1-1/2 ton 6x6 WCs. The only practical difference is that the M37 has a companion flange whereas the WC uses a drive yoke but these are easily swapped over.
Current prices for parts to carry out a rebuild on one of these differentials (crown wheel, pinion and bearings) runs out at well over a thousand dollars U.S. if you can get the parts. I am asking $750 Australian for each of the take outs. David
