g/box tyre compressor
Does anyone know the thread for the compressor pipe as it comes through the Chassis.
I have the correct pipe to pump the tyres up but no idea of the connection size - it seems very small. Cheers, Andy

Gearbox driven compressor
Hi Andy,
Is that size you want for the end that goes onto the hose? If so I have an original hose that attaches to the chassis fitting so I can measure the threads on that. Will pull it out later if that is what you need. Cheers, Jacques

Gearbox driven compressor- fittings
Hi Andy,
Just had a look at the hose. The end that attaches to the truck fitting is a just a female Schrader valve thread so on that basis it is a male Schrader valve fitting at the truck. A quick Google search says it is an oddball 0.305-32 thread. There are a few suppliers of that size tap and die on EBay. As a matter of interest the manufacturer stamped on the tyre end fitting reads "Thumlock" Gurnard Mfg. Co. Beverly Mass. Hope this is what you need and is of some help. Cheers, Jacques

Maybe the idea was that you could inflate a flat tyre from an inflated one in an emergency ?
