M2A2 Halftrack For Sale in Ontario
I came across this ad on Kijiji for an M4A1 halftrack which has been converted to an M2A1. I have no affiliation with the seller.

And $10,000 of that is for the Browning M2 and 1919A4's if they are real dewats.

Andy certainly did an A1 job on the half-track. I once owned this particular machine & I installed a complete new front axle & transmission in it. Both came in crates from Tennessee. I put about 20 miles on it in total. I am sure Andy installed a new/rebuilt engine in his restoration. It should be extremely reliable as well as attractive.
I have no connection with the seller but it seems like a deal - particularly in our small Canadian dollars. |

Provided they are dewats, you can double that estimate of 10K. These days,M1919s deactivated, especially to older standards, sell for around $4500 each. I even saw one go for $5000 a few weeks ago, and that was without tripod or accessories. A decent M2HB will be North of that, starting at 5K and running to around 8K. So easily 20K in dewats. On the downside, in many provinces you cannot register a tracked vehicle for road use. I know that is the law in Manitoba. So you might be able to do a parade, but you will have the full cost of transportation involved bringing it to and from a parade or display. |

Precisely why I sold mine... Lots of interested parties always wanted to me bring it out to events but were shy to help out on the transportation costs. It usually cost me $2-300 anytime I wanted to take it somewhere and a bunch more to pay for fuel if it was to operated there. Halftracks are thirsty.
Nice halftrack for someone that has it on their "must have" list.

It is on my list...
I wouldn't mind having one but I would like to get one with some work left to do to it (and for a lot less money)
I remember one of the guys on here had one for sale a few years ago, he was asking 30 or 35k and I also decided it was too hard to move. So went with a ferret instead. Don't regret it at all. |
