Charging Panels
Two Canadian manufactured Charging Panels but with different labeling. The one in better conditioin has a REME 1960 inspection label on it.
The ownere believes the one in better condition is of post-war manufacture but I would have thought probably more likely post-war rebuilt/modified rather than later manufacture. Any suggestions? |

Are you sure the one on the right is Canadian? It looks like a standard British one.

My friend assures me that it is a Canadian one although not marked as such. He claims to have had British ones in the past.

I'm still going with Brit. Almost all Canadian versions of British wireless gear have "CANADIAN" in the title and a PC or ZA/CAN in the part number. Here's my British No.5 for comparison.

His other definitely British Panel was apparently different to this panel so he was assuming it was Canadian even without the stencilling. I think like you he is wrong. This one my end up for sale. |

I have one ... Not for sale... It is definitely Canadian... Main distinguishing feature... Large Canadian arrow stamp to the rear.
