Default Christmas & New Year

A bit early for the good wishes, I know. But since I will be out on a vacation with some sand under the tires but no connection to the Internet, I thought that it is acceptable to send them to you already now.

I wish you some peaceful days and a very happy new year.

Kuno

Kuno, how thoughtful of you to have sent a totally non Politically Correct greeting.

Having spent some time in a desert Kingdom some many miles to the east of you, I can appreciate your sentiments at this time of year.

Dear Jon; what do I have to understand under "a totally non Politically Correct greeting"?

[I also have to admit that I do used to think in politically correct terms and feel quite well with it].

Kuno:

My response was perhaps a bit of an over reaction to what we here in Canada are subjected to with regard to holiday greetings.

For that, I apologize for any misconception.

Regards. and Merry Christmas!

Default Merry Christmas from Ottawa

The year started out with all the promise and hope of any. Good news some days and bad news on others. We do what we must and what we can. I hope all my Maple Leaf Up friends are able to enjoy the festivities.

And include a word in your grace for troops overseas and all those who go into harm's way on our behalf.

Terry

Default Merry Christmas from Vancouver

Seasons Greetings to all and Amen to your request Terry. And a special Merry Christmas to Rob Love, who, according to tonight's Christmas forecast, is freezing his "toosh" off in the "Armpit of Canada"!

And we have it under strictest confidence that Santa will be delivering a Lump Of Coal to one....Bruce Harris for his somewhat "tasteless" emails. Merry Christmas Bruce. Robert

Only going to -28 tonight, although if you get caught in the wind it's equal to -39. Kind of typical for this part of Canada actually. We get through it, knowing that in another 2 months it will start to get warmer.

Merry Christmas to all.

Rob

Smile Merry Christmas from Ganmain

On this day, and in full compliance with Federal Anti-Discrimination legislation, please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the summer solstice holiday practices with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2013, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great, and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

PS. No I didn't write this!

Hello Rob,

Merry Christmas to you and your family; and to all MLU people and family. Plus a prosperous 2013

The weather here in Bundaberg - on the coast of Queensland, Australia is

4:00 PM 25/12/12
Temp °C 29.2
Relative Humidity 48 %
The best thing is the breezes - Wind Direction - NNE Speed Kilometres
12 with gusts to Speed Kilometres 22

For a December we have had very little rain for this time of year, since it is the Subtropics of Australia. However, this time two years ago we had fatal floods just starting - so dry is good.

Kind Regards
Lionel

Default What goes around...

Well Lionelgee....what goes around, comes around! We'll remember you in about 6 months. Spoke with Oz and NZ this week and you buggers just love to rub it in! As for Rob, if you've ever been there....it is the middle of No Man's Land. Coldest, Rob I've ever experienced was 60 below zero, with the wind chill factor, in Edmonton Alberta many many years ago. AND for those of you who haven't experienced COLD.....it's like someone taking liquid nitrogen to exposed flesh and have it freeze in less than 20 seconds. Anyhow .....have a nice warm Christmas......Robert

Christmas whishes to all from us at Yass, hope everyone had a great and got everything they wished for.

Been a bit on the quiet side with MLU for me hopefully soon I will get time to play more as long as it doesn't get too hot again. Leading up to Christmas the weather was very hot and windy and bushfires had become a great concern with hardly a day going past without a small fire somewhere, but thankfully a cool change came through for Christmas so we could relax and have a good time. All the best to everyone.

Max
