What car was this?
I went up the paddock today and dug this old chassis out of the scrub. Just for fun can anyone identify the car it was part of How long has it been since slide on grease nipples were used?

I think it might be a Chev Grasshopper.
It's not a Ford as it has not completely rusted away... |

It is an Australian built 1924 tourer using imported parts and local coachbuilding.

Museum photo of car, I thought the uneque spring arangement would give it away.
I'm cleening up the property so it will probably go in the scrap pile unless you bring a trailer and take it.

Scrap?
No Don't do that, Robert!
I don't want it, but I'm sure that there would be someone who would. Put it in your club magazine, I'l do the same, and we'll see if we can find a new owner! H

Yes Luke it's a 1924 summit tourer, this was my Grandfather's spare parts car and he made a trailer out of it to cart the saw bench on, I don't know why it was abandoned where it was so far away from either house.
OK Howard i'll put it aside but it is missing a fiew parts

New owner found already, Howard, so don't put it in the car club mag.
