Default Trade: RT524 stuff for PRC77/AM2060 stuff

I'm looking for a PRC77 with the Manpack and Duck Bag and an AM2060 Tray with the Cable to connect to the 77 Set.

I have some RT524s and install parts I'd like to trade.

PM me if your interested. Delivery to Ontario is possible.

Scotty:

Most of the stuff you're looking for was bulldozed into scrap at Trenton.

Shame, but apparently true...and it wasn't all that long ago!

Good luck in your search. Maybe ebay will be your only hope...assuming you deal with a seller who doesn't interpret ITAR as strictly as some do.

Sadly, I think you're right John. Not a whole lot of this stuff kicking around to be had up here for less than its weight in gold.

Update,

I've found an AM-2060 Tray. I just need a 25/77 Set now.

So, heres an offer:

1 x MT-1029 Tray,
1 x AM-1780 Intercom Box,
1 x C-2298 Control Box,
2 x CVC Helmets (need drop cords),
1 x MX-6707 AMU with Mounting Bracket,
Required Cables for install.

I can negotiate with some cash to sweeten the deal if required.

Scotty:

I'm willing to part with my 77 set...but I'd prefer to sell/trade not just the RT 841 but the whole AN/VRC-77.

Everything is pretty well NOS, especially the canvas parts. Manual included. I'll even throw in a couple of Magnesium BA-4386/U batteries.

RT 841 has seen field use.

With the complete C/L of items, you'll have an AN/GRC-160 which is an RT-841 on your 2060 tray, and all the items required to swiftly re-configure to an AN/PRC-77.

Now here's the kicker...I already have all of the stuff you want to trade (except the CVC helmets).

I'd suggest that we proceed with PMs and see what kind of a deal we can work out.

Regards

PS: CFR plates, ECC stencil still a go?

Steve Haney in Godley, Texas has the equipment, spare parts, and knowledge to repair PRC 25/77 sets.

As an alternative, I have a couple of spare, complete (carrier, antenna bag, handset, flexible and whip antennas with base, and D cell battery adapter), working 25 sets that I would sell, assuming that such a "technology transfer" is legal between Canada and the U.S. $750.00 each. Let me know if you're interested in either option.

Cheers, Derek

Default Available online

Eric, the battery adapters are available online at www.PRC68.com for $79.00 each. Here's the blurb from their website:

"The 257477BA is a Battery Adapter that replaces the BA-4386 or BA-5598 in all applications where the CY-2562/PRC-25 battery box is used, such as the PRC-25, PRC-77, PRC-124, PRC-1077, PRC-1099. GRA-114, military radios. It also works in some applications where another battery box is used such as the PRC-74 with the CY-6314 battery box (but not the "A" version) plus the USQ-42 and USQ-46."

Cheers! Derek
