PW British earth movers
A set of photos of the British built Marshall Gainsborough wheeled earthmover tractor which first entered service in the early 1950s. This interesting model has a armoured cab fitted so could have destined for Northern Ireland in the early days of the troubles or possibly used as a trials and experimental job

Rather than start another thread i thought it a good idea to incorporate all the PW British plant within this thread so hers a mixed bag
1. Muir Hill 5000 all terrain fork lift truck photo taken at Lydd Ranges whilst the enginneers were building new roads to the range centres. The whole range is based on deep loose shingle which i understand caused a few problems in the build 2. A bit more up to date a Volvo all terrain forklift sprayed and ready for the first Gulf war 3. Eager Beaver light weight air portable fork lift truck 4. Bray BL455M front loader/backaktor tractor in the late 1960s 5. AEC Militant chassis with a Blaw Knox face shovel mounted |

I had to go down there when the Sappers were building the roads, to repair one of their International Drotts. The Muir Hills were numerous and there was not many repairs that I have not done on them. A jack of all trades machine, front could have a 4 in 1 bucket, forks and I think a snow clearer. The rear could have a Boughton winch or Massey Ferguson 220 back acter.

Eager Beaver
I have always had a quirky like for the Eager Beaver. I Cant rationalise it in anyway except that I like them. I came within a hairs breadth of buying one a few years ago and we may even manage to buy one in the future if things pan out th way i hope they will.
