Humber Mk IV question
Did the Humber Mk IVs see service in North Africa before the Axis forces surrendered in May 1943?

I've been looking for any pictures of the Mk IV's in the desert but only find Mk Is & IIs. It looks like the difference between the II and IV is the main gun and the hatches on top of the turret (at least externally).

Humber Mk IIs have a 15mm Besa. I'm not certain off the top of my head what the difference is between the Mk I and Mk IIs. The Mk IIIs have a much larger turret with space for 3 men (4 crew total). The 3rd man is a wireless operator making this an ideal command vehicle for using the 3rd man to run the wireless on CW.
The Mk IV used largely the same turret as the Mk III but with a 37mm gun instead of the 15mm besa (all marks having the 7.92mm besa coax MG). The larger gun required that the 3rd crewman be deleted from the turret. That brings the crew complement back down to driver, gunner and commander. Insofar as use in North Africa, I am not sure.
