What lies below?

This is one of a number of interesting images I scanned today from an interesting collection. As can be seen from the vehicles in the background, it was taken in the sixties and was part of a recovery exercise... no, it's not a CMP but it is WW2

Can anyone work out what it is? All will be revealed shortly.

without blowing the photo up to see more clearly it looks like a Diamond T wrecker and a landrover.

This pic was taken of the same tortured vehicle being set up for another less liquid recovery. What a hard, sad life it led.

I think it is a Lynx.....or as you guys called them, a Golfball.

Nice try... but wrong. It is armoured, but built further to the South than a Lynx.

I'll have another stab at it.......looking at the first pic, by what can be seen through the water, it could be one of those White Scout Cars that the Aussies converted to AOP role (?), where they had extension to the sides of the hull and angled inwards.

Is that far enough South? Or do I have to go below the Equator

Patrick I will put you out of your misery about Tim Tams as it is obvious to any one that you are not aquainted with them as if you had been you would remember.

They are a delightful Aussie Chocolate Biscuit which are simply irrisistable to anyone who has had one as you soon find that one is never enough.

My God!!!!!! A road test on a Tim Tam. They even mentioned sucking tea or coffee through the Tim Tam. Believe me, it's much better to suck a nice vintage port through the Tim Tam
