Wanted: M37 body

This may be a tough one, but I am in need of a body for an M37. I have a complete drivable chassis but no box, cab or front fenders grill or anything else as far as sheet metal. If anyone knows of someone who has what I am looking for please let me know. Thanks ,Dave

There have been a few 3/4s on FB Marketplace and Kijiji in West Quebec. Sold as part vehicles, and one had a small block V8 with automatic transmission. Unplated, but overpriced.

Rob Love in the province next door has experience doing cross border raids into West Quebec. He can advise better on avenues of approach, passwords and codewords. There are friendlies in the Greater Ottawa area who may be able to provide local intelligence and civic engagement.

I cannot in good conscience reccomend using anything from east of the manitoba-ontario border.

I did pick up a nice original an unmolested m37 cargo last fall. It has been stored in a quonset for the last 40 years and still has the original military accident reports and workorders in the glovebox. It was from 2vp in calgary and post service has been hiding in Northern saskatchewan.

So there are still some decent rust free trucks out there. Good luck on your quest.

I searched "m37" within 150km of Ottawa-Gatineau. There are a lot of Lexus cars with 37 in the model number, that are probably not Army issue 4x4 trucks ....

There are a few that were on FB a while back as well, but I can not find the adds again. Also found another one on kijiji but it has no box. Still, it would be a big step forward. Thanks for all the tips and info guys! Please keep me in mind.

Today while my work PC was doing something else, I did a quick Kijiji search for M151 Jeep and M38A1 Jeep. The latter turned up something I've seen recurring, but it is relevant to the question. This is the post title "Jeeps and Military Vehicles". Click through the overpriced old cars, wrecked 1/4 tons, and there you'll find some 3/4s in whole and in parts. Closer to Saskatchewan than Ontario, and more in line with Rob's advice about geographic preferrences.
