Tecalamite, 3/8 BSF. (british standard fine) Do check the sizes of yours.
Bellcranks on floor=4
brake bell cranks =2
Cross tube rollers =2
Do you have one on your brake pedal? (early ones just have oil hole) (not sure about grease nipple here)
Speedo drive (diff end)=1
greaseable thrust bearing? =1
Bogie wheels =8
Rear hubs =2
Edit;
Clutch release shaft =2 (in original housing) (non carrier g/box housing will be NPT)
Fan extension =1
Flare pistol bracket =1

O.K. a re editing is required; Thank you Michael R.
The bogie arms account for 4 more, (do I mention the 4 relief valves as well?)
The double bogie frame has 1 in the centre of each =2
And also 1 in each return roller pin=2
The gear change bearing has 2
If you are lucky enough to have the aerial mount, they have 2 more
Tow hitch =1

I think that is 37 so far
Some carriers have one on the brake Pedal, which makes the possible total 38.

Two more on the clutch bellhousing for the release bearing shaft.

One on the flare holster bracket to the right of the radio operator if it's a mk1 carrier. It is stricly a dummy though as the only purpose it serves is to hold the end of the grease gun hose in place during stowage. Can't help think the radio operator is going to get his battledress greasy on that one.

Hi Rob, I had forgotten about the clutch shaft ones, but will point out that those, like the thrust bearing one, are not going to be BSF, are they?
I would expect they are standard type grease nipples with what ever thread Henry Ford put in his gear box housings (NPT?)
Truth is, I have never had an original carrier g/box housing, so don't know this?

It would have made sense to have the whole vehicle greased with the same grease gun. The only options were to fit NPT threaded Tecalamites there, or a grease gun adapter.

Answers please (Waiting for Michael R to chime in with documentary evidence)

I don't have a flare pistol bkt and had forgotten about that one.

I actually have a carrier transmission on the bench right now for re-assembly, which is why I know about those two. I will pul one now and see what thread it is. However, in civil servant fashion, I merely looked in my FUC-03 manual in front of me and they are indeed listed as using two of C01UC100400 tecalimite #28 3/8 BSF fittings. Don't forget that the regular Ford transmission housing has it's own part number for this application, so in the drawings they may have specified to tap the holes to BSF. I know I have adapted regular truck transmission housings to carrier application before by adding a hole or two on the back which is not on the normal applications.

A check in the back of the manual shows this fitting in use in over 21 different sections of the manual.

There is another on the fan extension.

Well we have it covered then?

I will edit my earlier posted list so that they are all there in one place.
