Can someone tell me how or why you would use a ferret for this?

The Artillery will use a gun to transport a casket for a funeral, the armoured corps will use an armoured vehicle. Likely the ferret would have a rack on the back to support a casket.
Here in Shilo we have a 25 pdr with a special rack that goes on the barrel to support the casket. I found a second funeral kit laying out in the dustbowl....not sure where it ever went. |

Thanks! I knew about the artillery guns being used, never thought about vehicles

When I was on the mission to packup the airborne to return them to canada may-june 1983.
There was a MK II ferret complete with turret sitting on the side of the runway infront of a sea container (war trophy?). I asked where it was going and was told that it was going to the RCD's in pettawa.
