Default 25lb trailer

Aussie farmer ingenuity does it again.
Saw this rather nice farm trailer yesterday. Going by the rear wheels and turn table, the main donor appears to be a 25lb gun carriage.
Rich.

Default wheels

Hi Richard,
The wheels are not 25 pdr, but they are artillery. I think these are spider rims off either a limber or gun.
Many WW1 18 pdrs were reused in early WW2 fitted with this style of rim in place of the original wood spoke wheel.

I once saw a childs merry-go-round made from a 40mm Bofor trail... I was too big for a ride

Hi Wayne.
No Expert on this subject, so quite happy to be corrected. Knew they would be arti. based, assumed 25pounder, and the owner seems to think so as well. Perhaps the turntable pin would be the key?
Thought it was rather neat that these parts built for war have been in use so long and so appreciated in a peacful setting. Age has caught up with most of the modified stuff, usually see it on the scrap heap now.
Rich.
