Default Plans For C8 Duple Body

Has anyone got a set of construction plans to make a Duple body to suit a cab 12 C8 ???
Mike has kindly sent me diagrams for a 1A2 and a british PU body but i have been unsuccesful finding duple plans

Hi Andrew

The Duple body is a British PU body , others in that style were fitted to Morris Humber and Ford. The plans I sent should suffice . But details will be different e.g., tool lockers and such. The Duple bodied C8's were fitted with weird petrol tanks , the filler necks stuck out the ends , unlike any other of the CMP family . What a shame the example in your town now lives in QLD Although I suspect it wasn't 100% original and had been fiddled with.

Mike, if he's looking for the body for a cab 12, it'll be the l1B1 ong box and it's entirely different to the 1A2.

Yes I understand what your saying ....that would be correct for Canada.

Over here, the C8's we have of the cab 12 variety , were fitted with Duple bodies ... Just a turn of fate ! It is a mystery how or why that happened. There's a nice pic of one in Greggs profile on the 8cwt's.
