First things first. I have a book on its way from China, Into the Maelstrom then I have two of the Weapons of War booklets to do (WWII Jeep and WWI Armoured Autocar) then I will try to get the Motorcycle Motorcycle book out in time for Christmas.

Plus it looks like he's wearing one of the Spalding fibreglass helmets from that era. "Tin Lids" has that information, I believe.

I also recall, probably from "Winged Wheel Patch" that were was a small number, 50 comes to mind, of larger displacement (80 ci, I think) WLCs that were used only in Canada for high-speed highway DR work to and from Ottawa and so on. Did any of these survive, I wonder?

Default Canadian WLC

There is a discussion as to whether the 42 Wlc had steel oil lines or neoprene covered oil lines Which is correct ?

Here's another picture that was just sent to me...

It was taken in Holland shortly after war's end and shows Dutch civilians going thru a dump of WLC bikes....
Also a couple of British made bikes are visible...
