There were no artillery pieces in the auction. There were 6 25pdr projectiles however, fairly rusty with no markings visible $140ea.

LVT4 (with Series 1 Land Rover) with no track on RHS, passed in at $4000.

LVT with dummy gun in turret, only has 1/2 length of track on RHS (retained by fencing wire!), passed in.

LVT turret. (Did this sell?)

Default The Sale...Dubbo

I agree with all that Tony says....

It was a very long hot day.. Some things were super cheap and some things were mad!

Thanks Hanno, I will photo the truck on Sunday when I pick it up.. It is wrapped in a 'bunny rug' tarpaulin until I can get it properly out of the weather..

I have a few things to do. (well maybe lots) but the truck is good for originality.

Can anyone give me some tips on uploading pics??

I think I have attached the F60!!!!!!!!!!!

Ian

Tony,

Thanks for the photos of the LVTs. Looks like they are missing quite a few bits.

Default Descriptions

I have a bit of a problem with something like this:

When it is advertised like this:

Quote:
Rare Ford 41 F60 Blitz, ex Australian army Western Desert WW11,orig troop body and fittings. £2300 pounds.
When it is not particularly rare, nor 41, nor ex Western Desert. It also looks to be a 15cwt with a non-original rear body.

Well, yes... Did they sell the F60L with the timber stores body? Perhaps that's the one in which case the misrepresentation only applies to Western Desert, 41 and rare. It also had the doors tek screwed shut.

They are still there, now for sale or trade, 3 years after the auction. So have his prices come down?. Has any one had a Gecco at the Dimond T? ie how compleat in the running gear.

Shakey, one of the Pucka boys, see you at Corowa

Finally got out to have a look at the diamond t ,not the best thing I have ever seen
chassis plated repair on one side ,no axles and rust in most of the lower cab but other than that mechanically reasonably complete
