Brian,

Great find! Must have looked brilliant when new: fire engine red with black wheels.

Default They are still listed....

...but could not access with the link ....had to search directly at Kijiji ... Kingston..... tires...... end of listing.....

Need to establish "how" new they really are..... would be nice if one of the Kingston boys could look at them for cuts or cupping when used on a bad front axle....

Look under "military all terrain 4x4".....relisted March 8th..... maybe now he will take a low baller....

Default Tires

The ad on Kijiji has expired. The tires were for sale by a dealer in Belleville. Empey tire I think. They had if I remember over 100 900:16 military Michelins in stock. Used but very good tread.

The photo is of a nice looking & complete carrier - gives no indication of the condition of the vehicle being sold.

If you wanted to be a real $hit, tell fleabay's management that he is misrepresenting his listing. Picture cannot match the description, unless the 1/3 missing armour is the entire right side.

I don't see it as fraud since they clearly say "The One pictured is not the one I am selling", but the photo isn't very useful, except to someone who doesn't know what a carrier should look like.
You know the phrase.......Only believe x% of what you see and 0.5x% of what you read and 0.25x% of what you are told........less if it's on the internet (and then it's either worthless or 100% true even if it should be an obvious BS call).

Bob Barker used to deal like this all the time. "Do you want whats behind the curtain?"

Unbelievable that someone would try and sell something at $12,000 and not even be able to supply a photo.

I,m with Rob on this one. If you are too lazy to furnish some pics for a $12G sale I would be leary in dealing with someone like this....

I was speaking with a fellow today as a matter of fact regarding buying and selling on the Internet. I told him rule#1 IS TO NEVER, EVER MISREPRESENT ANYTHING that you put up for sale.
Whether buying or selling, buyer beware is key, pics, questions, phone calls etc are cheap in the longrun.

This kinda reminds me of a certain Bren gun deact that was sold here recently, something about pics representing an item that wasn't what was being sold.....

Default 1941 Ford 1 Ton BCATP Ambulance

I spotted on the Montreal Kijiji listing what I believe to be a 1941 Ford 1 Ton ambulance as were used on the BCATP air stations. The body may be built by Proctor-Keefe. Contact the owner directly, I have no connection with this offering. Joe.

Default KL Welder on Kijiji

Just spotted this on kijiji in Alberta: http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-s...AdIdZ295558838

If anyone is trying to restore a KL welding lorry, then they will know how hard it is to find one of these. Price seems very reasonable too.

No connection with the seller, just thought I would pass it on.

Default Welder

Nice unit ,not to many noticeable mods other than the fuel tank and the holes for the cables patched over . That ford gauge cluster is a hard one to find, still looking.

My guess is a cut down M135 box. Not original to the truck, but what do you do if you have access to a box of one type and lack one of the other, I know I'd be tempted. OK as long as you don't try to pass it off as original. It is better to have the truck usable (used) and cared for but not original than neglected until all parts can be found (and possibly scrapped because no one cared for it). If anyone knows of a spare original box or knows how to get a set of plans to reproduce an original type box perhaps either the buyer or seller will consider replacing the current box with an original style....

Default It has not sold yet....

Hi Rob

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !!!!..... ... and the buyer would need to be using a white cane.....

I believe the seller is known to some of us.... been quietly selling and trying to sell other similar items..... or at least testing out the market.

Bob

I know the owner and have seen the truck in person here in Cornwall. I have no experience with CMPs so I couldn't tell you the good and bad of this vehicle.

The owner also has a carrier and a couple MBs/GPW

Default Yep...... that is the one

Would you say the truck is approx. 134 inches on the wheel base....? may have been a LAAT at one time but now sports a modified GS box.

Nice job finishing it but he took a few liberties with the restoration......
