That is the color they are commonly found in, but remember that they have been subject to 60+ years of sun and elements. You will find better paint samples when you remove brackets or devices from your carrier. The original color is a brownish green, or a greenish brown depending on which way you squint your eyes.

I talked to the happy new owner of this carrier today as he was towing it home. He called me from his cell to let me know. Apparently it sold for in the range of $7700.
He said he was turning the pulleys on the engine, and the tranny looked complete. All the engine covers were there too. A couple of repro plates of side armor and he will have a very nice looking carrier. |
