My number is : C15A #C14441-M 1500CWT serial 38442422564.
The Montreal police got on file a number AU 38442422564, that was recorded for 1948, I beleived the C15A building stop before 1945?
According to the serial plate my C15A was build in 29 Sept 1943
They will not release the form for registration.

Can someone help me please ?
Gilles,

A couple of things may have happened; the S/N recorded by the Montreal Police may have been badly transcribed; the data plate you have is not original to the vehicle you have or, and this is probably more likely; the number and date used by the Montreal Police reflect the date that the vehicle was first registered in the civilian world. I have a 1970 Triumph TR-6 that remained on the dealer's lot until 1971 before it was registered for the first time and the province (Ontario) considers it a 1971 and refuses to treat it as a 1970.
