Hi Hanno,

The translation will be a little later I think, cause he's in Carter's footsteps right now!

Cheers,

Stefan

Stefan, I know where the old man is but I don't understand Carter's footsteps. Please translate into Canadian.

Default here you are, back to school guys!!!

here is a little bit of text on this lad:

It may simply have been the luck of the draw, but no one has probably furthered the interests of Egyptology, and indeed the world's archaeological focus on Egypt more than Howard Carter. His discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun has inspired almost a century of Hollywood movies, books and media attention for this greatest of all living museums we call Egypt.
Time to talk about CMP's again!

Greetz

Or go to the ad here on MLU for contact details of Michiel van Roode who is in direct contact with the owner (who due to his age isn't online very often):

Quote:
For Sale: Chevrolet C8A HUP PUTR-2 (Manufactured: June 1944)

This rare HUP PUTR-2 is in excellent, original condition and has been fully restored mechanically. Over the past few months, the following work has been completed:
- Brand new brake system;
- New fuel system;
- Completely new lighting;
- Original 216 engine tuned;
- All rubbers replaced;
- New tyres;
- Chassis has been repainted;
- New exhaust.

The engine starts effortlessly on the 'button'. Everything is lubricated and filled with fresh oil. The side windows, original interior curtains and pioneer tools are included. Original seats and replica bench are in place. The body is original and rust-free. There are a few minor dents that can be addressed, and after a fresh paint job of your choice, the vehicle will be ready for the 2025 Liberation Events.

The car has a Dutch road registration and is being sold due to another project. For serious inquiries please contact via email. The vehicle is located near Deventer, The Netherlands.

Price upon request.

Roland also has a cut-down 1942 C8A civilian wrecker for spares or repair. I expect this will be available for sale also:

Erik & Niek Baecke in Belgium are the new owners. Read their restoration blog here: https://hmvf.co.uk/topic/46824-1944-...sonnel-putr-2/

Egbert, Alex and myself had the pleasure of visiting the Baecke’s last month. This was the first time I saw a C8A in ex-service condition - impressive. This truck is in very capable hands with father and son, they have restored a large number of Dodges and motorcycles to a very high standard.

Default Ford V8 F15A cwt 15 cab 11

Hello,

I'm new on the forum.
My name: Kenny Desaever, living on the coast of Belgium. A friend of mine told me someone had been talking about my Ford Canada on the forum.
I am the proud owner of the Ford V8 F15A cwt 15 flat lorry restored by Anthony Sudds. Ford has indeed manufactured very few of this type whit the 2 different axles.

But... can anybody help me to find the big trailer (cwt 20)?
I know that sir Hanno Spoelstra has one, but his price is a bit to high... I can also trade against some German militaria if wanted.

Glad to join the Club!!

This ad, found at http://www.gaf.zeelandnet.nl/, reads "C60X in very good condition. Many spare parts. Improved braking system." I presume the seller added a leading 7 or trailing 0 to the asking price. . .

Wim, thanks, I saw it advertised on MilWeb as well. But the ad is gone now, would it have been sold already? Hope it stayed in Holland.

Hallo Hanno,

sorry, i didn't meen it that way...
Indeed, you haven't given me an exact price, but i found nothing cheaper than 7600 euro's to trade with...
Is there anything else you should consider to trade for? Or how much do you want in euro's?

greetings

Kenny

Default Sorry Jeff....

Your old 42 Ford has a humungous Super Heavy Duty Cast GM ront axle and a teenee weenee Ford rear axle.......

Your front axle has a massive cast front face and multi cast iron braces...... I found a similar axle on a early cab 13 (1941..??) Chevrolet..... cab early floor pattern and full tie rod end linkages like cars.....

Bets are that the early design as an original R-Zeppa front inner axle.....

I know I have close up pictures of the anomaly..... but do you think I could find it...... it's an age thing.... you'll get there one day....

By the way "Kudos" on the upgrade of the forum....

Boob
