Does anyone have any idea what the civilian application for these boosters was. I've not found any civil uses, but it's hard to believe that the whole system, linkage, booster and all, was unique to the CMPs. After all, so many parts of the brake system, including the master cylinder and wheel brake assemblies were off the shelf parts.
Grant you might want to dig out the rebuild kit and CMPs parts numbers and send them to some of the Chevy parts guys like http://www.vehiclesofvictory.com/ thats where I found the CMP brake boosters he had the number but didn't know what it fitted.

I wonder if the base of the Chevy CMP brake booster was in the Chevy vacuum shift unit. Your right so much what is used in CMP was off the shelf parts.
