Default Sigs Speak

Bob to Mark - long message to follow - over

Mark to Bob - send over

Bob to Mark - if you wish to use signals parlance please use the following.

Roger means "I understand"

Over means " I expect a response"

Roger Over means "I understand and I expect a response"

Out means "end of message, no further response required"

Roger Out means "I understand, no further response required"

Your response to
Quote:
Jon, what can I say, the Infantrymen work while the Signallers snooze.
should have just been Out

End of message - over

Mark to Bob - Roger Out

The term Wilco is often used and means "I will comply"

And finally the Signaller's motto is

"Think before you speak"

followed by the rapid learning of the phonetic alphabet which one finishes up reciting in ones sleep.

BTDT - Bob
