but I am not really keen on sitting with a bunch of 5,000 backpacking Aussie and Kiwi kids who really know nothing about what went on. I would prefer to be there on a day when I could wander around unhindered.

Now be nice Lang. There is a definite resurgence of National pride in OZ with 5000 backpacking kids proving the point. Its even demonstrated with the increasing interest in the Anzac Day Parades. Although not born in OZ I am very proud of the contributions and sacrifices the Australian, Kiwi and all Allied service personnel made to give us the lifestyle that we enjoy.

When you get over there thank as many kids as you can for their interest.
