Haven't ever seen one on a carrier, and wouldn't know where to look anyway..are you sure that they didn't come out post carriers?
And, these aren't cast. From the picture that you have posted, that plate has been stamped with a press in thin sheet metal. Press dies for this job if the plate is about 3" x 4" would cost approx $2000, but you'd be good for about 100,000 plates before the tooling needed to be reworked.
Might be able to come up with a cheats method though if you really want them. Using an aircraft quality hydropress.
