I'm pretty sure it (and most of all the other German vehicles in Canada) is one of Farley Mowat's 'collection'; at the end of the war he formed, completely without authorisation, an ad-hoc unit of scavengers and other ne'er-do-wells which he called the '1st Canadian War Museum Collection Team'. They then proceeded to range right across continental Europe to collect one of everything the Germans used in WW2 and ship it all back to Canada...

He did a "tour" with the collection around Holland before everything was shipped home.
