They call them Harriers, Tony.
I think our Naval Services have always had a tendency to call items of war by their name instead of by their inventory number. A Springfield was a Springfield, an M1 was a Garand, an F4 was a Corsair etc. etc. Same holds true for ships. Civilians don't know what a BB is but they do know what the USS Missouri is. Bill
