Hi Art,
The Gunner had a post bolted on the right corner of the flat plate and th eangle for the gun shield. There was also a second post bolted to the hull on his left sidenear the fire extuingisher. These were for the gunner to have something to hold on to when the driver got frisky.

They both have a rubber sleve that looks like a gripon a motorcycle handle bar. In fact a lot of people use those for the hand grip on the carrier.
I have one intact, but cracked original FMC grip.

This is what I plan to clean up and make a mold from and cast a few replicas from.

I don't have my manual handy to give you the part number at the moment, But if someone else doesn't give a better description, I will get you the numbers so you can find it in the manuals.
