That's amazing. I must confess I thought that you'd Google searched it, sorry. You are ofcourse exactly correct. Govenor is our head of state for the idividual states and territories. Govenor-General is absolute head of state for entire country, however I can't help but feel that they are as much a figurehead as Her Majesty. Here however, I can't understand why we require individual state governments as well as a federal government. This means that in Australia we have FIVE levels of government. 1 Local Government ( local council ) 2 State Government ( lower house - house of Reps ) 3 State Government ( Legislature ) 4 Federal House of Representatives ( lower house ) 5 Federal Senate ( upper house ) and each of the barstards want their share of tax Pedr |
